From the vaults: The Technicolour Sound’s very first show in the back of a comic book shop in Brawley, CA. A small audience, but a good show none-the-less.
Born from the ashes of the Technicolour Sound, My People Pray by Starlight carried on where the previous band left off, pushing their spacey-rock in louder, more forceful directions. They were based out of Santa Cruz, California. The band featured members of Travel by Train, Ghosts of Progress, and the Sexies.
Director R. Gaiman’s pop music project. Defunct as far as we know.
Alfonso grew up in Gudalaraja, Mexico but moved to America with his grandparents at an early age. An accomplished musician, capable of playing over 10 instruments, his Magic Organ Machine is a venue for his more experimental electronic music.
He is known throughout the American Southwest for his peculiar live shows, often dressing his band mates in oversized novelty costumes.
A Psychedelic band from Santa Cruz, California. Only one EP to their name.
A lo-fi Casio pop project by a Santa Cruz local. Released one concept record about Dungeons and Dragons and then called it quits.
